Cold Hardy Barbados Bird of Paradise (caesalpinia gilliesii)

$999.99

The highly colorful yellow flowers attract hummingbirds and bees. The national flower of Barbados, it is commonly referred to as the cold hardy bird of paradise because it can survive much lower temperatures than other varieties of caesalpinia. Evergreen in warmer climates, this striking shrub-like ornamental can grow to 5-6 feet, however in frost prone climates it remains small in size and tolerates pruning well, allowing it to be planted in multiples as a hedge.
