Thailand Powderpuff Shrub (combretum constrictum)

Delicate fluffy looking balls of scarlet red, short petaled, tubular, unscented flowers emerge in abundant, rounded clusters from the long branch ends on this smaller shrub. Small semi-glossy, rounded leaves in medium green, grow from the compact, woody stems. The tight compact nature of this small tree makes it great for growing a hedge with, if planted in multiples and pruned regularly. The Constrictum is best planted in groups to make a dramatic effect in the landscape.
